LS Polls: 7 percent voting in Srinagar till 5 pm, 21 percent in Budgam

Srinagar: Srinagar witnessed 7 percent polling in the second phase of the Lok Sabha Polls till 5 pm. 16.8 percent voting was recorded in Ganderbal and Badgam recorded 21 percent polling.

Meanwhile, in Udhampur, 72.2 percent of the voters cast their vote till 5 pm.

Earlier during the day in Kashmir, clashes between youth and armed forces have been reported to have taken place in various parts of Budgam.

Moreover, a complete shutdown is being observed across the valley.

All the business establishments remained closed in Srinagar while traffic was off the roads. Heavy deployment of the police and paramilitary forces has been made at all the sensitive places across the Srinagar-Budgam parliamentary constituency seat which is going to polls.
