‘Jai Shri Ram’ has no association with Bengali culture, chant nowadays used to ‘beat up’ people: Nobel laureate Amartya Sen

Indian Nobel laureate Amartya Sen has said that the chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ has no association with Bengali culture and nowadays it is used to ‘beat up people’.

According to the ANI, Sen said that Ram Navami is being celebrated more in Kolkata which wasn’t the case earlier.


The world renowned economist also added that the significance of ‘Maa Durga’ can’t be compared with Ram Navami.
