Sense of panic among people, have requested Farooq Abdullah to convene all party meet: Mehbooba

Srinagar: Mehbooba Mufti, Peoples Democratic Party President and the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir has requested National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah to call an all party meet in the matter of recent developments that has caused a sense of panic amongst people in the State.

Mehbooba further said that the need of the hour was to come together and forge a united response.

In a tweet, Mehbooba said:

“In light of recent developments that have caused a sense of panic amongst people in J&K, I’ve requested Dr Farooq Abdullah sahab to convene an all party meeting. Need of the hour is to come together & forge a united response. We the people of Kashmir need to stand up as one,” she tweeted.

Earlier, Farooq Abdullah said that the special status of Jammu and Kashmir should not abrogated.

“The NC will not allow any changes in the demography of the state and any attempt to dilute Jammu and Kashmir’s unique identity will be resisted,” Abdullah said on Sunday while addressing party workers in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
