Will stand against any move against JK’s special status, reiterates Mehbooba

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti on Friday reiterated her stand that the party will stand against any move aimed to attack the special identity of Kashmir, reported the GNS.

While talking to reporters on the sidelines of the function at Dak Banglow Baramulla Mehbooba Mufti said, “I had made a request to Farooq Abdullah to convene an all party meeting to give every party a chance to have its say but even before that, central government subjected him to questioning related to old Cricket scam.”

“After that Farooq Sahab and Omar Sahab had met with Modi and I was disappointed by the statement of latter that they discussed elections with the PM. Elections will happen and so will be the government formed but at present it is a matter of do or die for us and we have to safeguard our special identity.”

The former Chief Minister also pointed out that the statements made by the top brass of BJP in Parliament amid mobilisation of forces while sidelining JK Police raises every apprehension that something is going to happen.
